www.hairtx.com Hair transplant, hairline design for a patient with hair loss Dallas surgeon, Dr. Sam Lam discusses the dynamics of good hairline design and shows different design options based on a patient’s state of hair loss and also donor hair availability.

i am 23 male and loosing hair rapidly…
both front and top…
i have been suggested some meso-therapy by a doctor.. can you plz tell me if it would do me any good
@OpuSIII
They both work best on young men, becuase young men,even before visually become balding, they’re already running out of donar hair before they notice.This is because testosterone levels are the highest in young men, yet their hair roots are still able to produce alot of hair.However, they’re runing out of them while not noticing any hair loss.The thing is that out of every hair root, only a certain amount of hairs will grow in your life.When you’re balding,you’ve already run out ALOT
how far off on the horizon do you think hair cloning is?
@trevormac77 personally far off still. but they have made some advances.
@kh1129 yes, but it is not as reliable as a first line use. body hair can be used when other donor hair is burnt out.
@kh1129 u r funny!
I’m 23 and I guess i better start saving for transplant…
if i haven’t lost my hair but starting to, can the ones that are on my top part of the scalp be saved somehow? Propecia, does it work? should one try with it as well?
one question, may be stupid, but can donor be someone else… like brother, father, sister….?
this may sound stupid but can donor hair be someone else? and can it be taken from facial hair? beard, sideburns…?
if I still have a lot of hair on the top of the scalp, can transplant somehow save it, “reprogram” it somehow?
@poltergeistish replying to all your questions:
1. cannot use someone else’s donor hair. it will be rejected.
2. it can be taken from other areas of the body using FUE but there is only limited supply and does not grow as perfectly as scalp hair.
3. hair cannot be reprogrammed or saved but propecia/rogaine keep the programming longer so to speak.
best,
sml
I want to draw on hes head :(
is their any side effect?
@calmguy1 any surgical procedure has risks such as poor growth, unnatural result, scarring, etc. but in general, it is very safe and can help fill a large area of baldness. one more important thing: if you are young (under 30 yo for example) you have to be careful because with ongoing hair loss you may run out of hair to fill in the area around the transplant (which is permanent) leaving an unnatural result.
Great informative video! I’m presuming you guys have been recommended by the hair restoration forum,if not you should get in touch with them because you really sound like you know what your taling about. Hope I have as much confidence in my surgeon when i have my HT done.
@vorkutaman honestly, i don’t believe in paid forums. the pay to play model does not work for me.
@samlammd As is your choice. I wasn’t actually aware that you had to pay. I believed that the forum recommends surgeons after the surgeon has posted his work on the forum and answered questions by the forum members and been scrutinised in that way.
@vorkutaman interesting ok. i will look into it.
thanks,
sml

ok enough talk, show results!
@AvacadoDesperado check out the results on hairtx [dot com]. i have hundreds on there. this is just a tutorial on understanding how to design hairlines based on the degree of hair loss and the extent of donor hair available.
why he wants transplants now? LOL…

for the image of the video i tought that head was an easter egg XD
@getmeatgmail i was wondering the same thing…
